On the first day, we’ll pick you up at your hotel as early as possible and drive to Lachatao. We’ll have breakfast and then begin our 16 km hike to Latuvi. This route is characterized by the greatest amount of flora and fauna. Once we arrive in Latuvi, we can offer you a pulque/tepache tasting and lunch with a local family. At the end of the day, we’ll settle into our private cabins. On day 2, we’ll begin with a traditional breakfast and then hike to Benito Juárez along the ancient Camino Real (a pre-Hispanic road used to trade products to the central valleys and the Gulf of Mexico). We’ll hike approximately 12 km to reach Benito Juárez. Once there, we’ll have lunch with a local family and then begin our return to Oaxaca City.
