We start the day by picking you up at 6:30 a.m. and drive to Cuajimoloyas for breakfast. After breakfast we begin our 12 km hike to Llano Grande. In this area, we will have the opportunity to see wild horses. From here, we’ll walk along the old trade road to a spectacular viewpoint known as “El Mono.” The hike continues following the stream through a beautiful canyon. Here, we’ll hear stories about bandits and explore the caves they used as hideouts. Once we are in town of Llano Grande, we’ll enjoy a traditional Oaxacan lunch and settle into the cabins. After we can do a tortilla making workshop. The next day, we’ll start the day with a traditional breakfast and then begin our 8 KM hike in the cloud forest of Llano Grande – La Sepultura trail. We are going to explore the area and see all of the biodiversity. At the end of the hike we return to the town, have a traditional Oaxacan lunch and begin our way back to Oaxaca city.
